JOHNSON--William E. Johnson, 47, a resident of Medford for the past year and a half, died suddenly of a heart ailment in his home, 132 Almond street, Saturday afternoon. Funeral arrangements will be announced Monday by the Perl Funeral home. Mr. Johnson, a plumber by trade, lived in Grant's Pass for 15 years before coming to Medford. He was born in Helsinborg, Sweden, on July 31, 1895. Surviving are his wife, Mae Johnson; his mother in Sweden and two brothers, Harold of Eugene and Rudolph of Portland. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Monday, 15 Jun 1942, p. 3, c. 7-8 WILLIAM JOHNSON PASSES, AGED 46 William Ernfrid Johnson passed away here Saturday at the age of 46. Born in Helsingfors, Sweden, Mr. Johnson came to United States in 1920. He resided in Grant's Pass for 15 years and came to Medford last year. He is survived by his wife, May Johnson, of Medford; his mother, Augusta Johnson, and a brother, Charles Johnson, in Sweden; a brother, Rudolph Johnson, and an uncle, Carl Swanson, of Portland. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. and W. O. W. lodges of Grant's Pass. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at L. B. Hall Funeral Hall in Grant's Pass, the Rev. H. S. Reichard officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park at Grant's Pass.
