H. Jones, of Tolo, who died at his home last Friday, took place at the Baptist church last Sunday afternoon, the services being conducted by Elder E. Henderson. There was a large congregation of friends present who sympathized with the bereaved wife and children. The remains were interred in the Central Point cemetery. Deceased was a native of Canada, and was seventy-three years of age and a veteran of our late war. He was buried by the members of the G. A. R. post of this city. He leaves a wife and eight children, who have the sympathy of all in this, their sad affliction. Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 19 Feb 1897, p. 3, c. 3 IN MEMORY OF G. H. JONES. Gilbert Harrison Jones died with paralysis at his home in Tolo, at 11 a.m., Feb. 6, 1897, aged 73 years, 2 months and 28 days. Deceased was born in Canada and came to Oregon July 12, 1876. On the 8th day of November last he sought the Saviour by repentance and faith and was born again, saved through Christ. He maintained this hope and love to God to the last. He died an old man, but only a babe in Christ, and has gone to the rest prepared for God's children. He leaves a wife and eight children and many friends to mourn his loss. F. T. Downing
