Jones, died at the home of her daughter, Miss Louise T. Jones, at Jacksonville, Tuesday morning at 7:30 o'clock of dropsy. She was aged 79 years, 7 months and 23 days, and was one of the pioneer women of southern Oregon. Born in Troy, N. Y., she came by boat from New York to San Francisco in 1856, and from there to Crescent City, Cal., and then continued to Jacksonville. She was married in 1858 to Stoughton P. Jones. Two children survive. They are Mrs. Arthur J. Davies of St. Paul, Minn., and Miss Louise T. Jones of Jacksonville. The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Presbyterian church at Jacksonville. The burial will be in the Jacksonville cemetery.
