Mr. McCroskey was born in Lawrenceville, Ill., October 23, 1872, was married to Maude May Bills, in St. Francis, Ar., January 24, 1900. She passed away in 1936. Mr. McCroskey and wife came to Medford in 1922. He engaged in building construction work until failing health compelled his retirement a year ago. He was a long time member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He joined the First Presbyterian Church of Medford in 1928 and was made an elder in 1936. One of his happiest labors was the supervision of the reconstruction of the church auditorium and pastor's study two years ago. His nearest living relatives are R. J. Bills, a brother-in-law, and family, and Mrs. H. Reed, a sister-in-law, all of Medford. Funeral service will be held in Perl chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. Conducted by his friend and pastor Dr. Sherman Divine. The elders of the church serving as pall bearers and the church choir the music. Interment will be at Jacksonville beside his wife.
