Jacob Johnston's place near the mouth of Trail creek, on Tuesday last, while talking to Mr. Johnston, whose place he wished to rent, having been living there for a week or ten days prior to his death. He had been taken suddenly ill on a prior occasion, since his arrival, and had notified parties in the neighborhood to whom to write in case of anything happening to him. He lived but a few moments after being stricken in Mr. Johnson's presence, and the latter was unable to summon assistance. The neighbors buried him on the premises the following day, and his relatives have been communicated with relative to the disposition of his personal effects.
