E., Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Friday, 24 Apr 1925: O. E. Olsen, stricken with heart failure, dropped dead while working in the Albert Potter garden on Scenic drive Monday evening. When found he had been dead about three hours. Mr. Olsen had but recently recovered from an attack of flu and it is supposed that the heart attack was a result of that illness. Mr. Olsen was a retired seaman, having served thirty years in the U. S. Navy. He has been a resident of Ashland for the past 11 years. He is survived by one brother, J. E. Olsen and one sister, both of Ashland.
