She fell and fractured her hip some time ago, and had never completely recovered from the injury. Her late husband, Obediah Pankey, passed away on New Year's eve of last year. She will be remembered by her host of friends throughout southern Oregon for her thoughtfulness and her Christian deeds. She was the mother of 10 children, nine of whom are living, six daughters, Mrs. Mary Grieve of Prospect, Mrs. Guy Tex of Central Point, Mrs. Rose Jackson of Los Angeles, Mrs. Ethel McKinzie of Riverside, Cal., Mrs. Fay Flick of Sacramento, Mrs. Minnie Crance of Medford; sons, Louis Pankey of Ashland, Willis and Art Pankey of Sprague River, Ore., one stepson, Charles Pankey of Azalea, Ore., also several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Perl Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. J. M. Johnson of Central Point officiating. Interment will take place in the Pankey cemetery in Sam's Valley.
