PANKEY, Mary H., Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 3 Jun 1904,
Central Point Items, p. 8 -- Mrs. Mary H. Pankey died at the home of
her son-in-law, Obediah Pankey, May 28th, aged 86 years, 8 months
and 4 days. "Grandma," as she was familiarly called, was a kind
Christian woman, who was always ready to do what she could for
the sick and distressed. She lived to see all her children buried
except Mrs. Pankey. She leaves many stepchildren and a large
circle of friends to mourn her loss. The remains were interred in
Sam's Valley graveyard Sunday.
