Peck, a resident of Jackson county all of his life, passed away in a local hospital Monday afternoon at the age of 69. He was born at Lake Creek on March 31, 1874. He was engaged in farming and stock raising until 1907. In that year he moved to Medford where he was employed for many years in the Nichols and Ashpole meat market. He later opened a shop of his own which he operated until 1940. At this time he retired, moving to Phoenix. He was a member of the Lutheran church most of his life. In 1895 he was united with Susana Demmer, who survives. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Amelia Albers, Salem; Mrs. Matilda Schulz and Mrs. Augusta Moore, Medford and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the Conger Funeral parlors Thursday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Harry Young officiating. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial park.
