Funeral services for Joseph John Sereyka, 83, who died Thursday, will be held 
in Conger-Morris chapel Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. G. Herbert Hillerman, 
of the Zion Lutheran church officiating. Committal will be in Sam’s Valley 
cemetery. Pallbearers will include E. A. Hall, A. A. Davis, Charles E. Stelle, 
Earl Bigham, Otto Tresham and Walter Miller.
The deceased was born Mar. 19, 1872 in Kovno, Lithuania. In 1900, in Lynn, 
Mass., he was married to Margaret Sereyka who preceded him in death. He 
formerly lived in California and was in San Francisco in 1906 during the great 
earthquake. He is survived by one grandson, Warren M. Long, Medford.
