SKYRMAN, VALLEY PIONEER Carl Theodore Skyrman passed away at his home in Central Point early Saturday morning at the age of 82. He had been failing in health for several months. He was born in Fostorra, Sweden, Feb. 17, 1862, and came to the U. S. in 1880 with two brothers. Drifting west he arrived in California in 1890. He lived there for a short time, moving to southern Oregon in 1891. On Feb. 14, 1892, at Trail, he was united in marriage to Emma Martin, who survives. Here he lived on a farm until 1918. While here he also served as justice of the peace for several years. He then moved to a farm near Central Point and just a year ago moved to his home in town. Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma Skyrman, he leaves five children, Harry C. Skyrman, Medford; Wm. Skyrman, Portland; Ivan Skyrman and Mrs. Clara Miller, Central Point, and Mrs. Floris Hight, Sacramento, Calif. There are also seven grandchildren. Services will be in the Trail church, 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. John Stelle officiating. Interment will be in the Trail cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Conger-Morris Funeral Parlors.
