Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 7 Sep 1948, p. 11, c. 7 
Services for Mrs. Anna Smith, 81, Central Point, who passed away in a local 
hospital Sunday, will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. 
with the Rev. Meredith Groves officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. 
cemetery. The deceased was born in London, Engl., September 6, 1866, moving to 
the United States with her parents, John and Eliza Tilley, in 1869. In 1887 in 
Erie county, Ohio, she was united in marriage to Frederick Smith, who preceded 
her in death in 1934. She was a member of the First Methodist church, Medford. 
Surviving are three sons, Clifton, Central Point; Roland, Medford; Hubert, 
Brownsboro; a brother, William Tilley, Canada; a sister, Mrs. Ida, Bechtold, 
Ohio; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
