Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Saturday, 2 Feb 1924, p. 2, c. 3
Chas. Henry Stearns passed away at the home of his son, Sidney Stearns, three 
miles west of Medford at 2:40 this morning. Deceased was born in Illinois, May 
16, 1850. After his marriage in Wisconsin, he had resided in the various 
central states until coming to Medford three years ago. He leaves two sons and 
one daughter, Cecil W. Grable, Wyoming; Alta Stearns, New York City, and 
Sidney O., Medford. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 2 p. 
m. Monday, Rev. D. J. Howe officiating.
