L. Vincent, two miles south of Medford, on the Pacific highway, Benton Vincent. Deceased was born in 1841, died January 23, 1921. He crossed the plains by wagon train in 1864, six months on the journey, landed at Walla Walla, after a few years. He came to Jackson county in 1875, bought a farm at the base of lower Table Rock in 1877, where he lived until 1911, when he turned his business interest over to his son with whom he afterward made his home. He leaves to mourn his loss A. L. Vincent of Medford, J. W. Vincent of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Olive Green of Portland and one brother, George Vincent of Lake county, Oregon. His wife and two daughters died several years ago. Funeral Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. at Weeks & Conger's chapel, Medford.
