Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 15 Jan 1918, p. 2, c. 4
Francis W. Winn, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Winn, of Wellen, died Sunday, 
January 13, at Qu[a]ntico, Va., of pneumonia. He is survived by his father, 
mother and brother, Russell, of Wellen, and sister, Mrs. Will Humphrey, of 
Roseburg. Mr. Winn was educated in the Medford high school and graduated with 
honors. Last April he joined the U. S. marines and since then had been 
stationed at Qu[a]ntico, Va. He was born in Adams county, Washington, November 
18, 1899, being 19 years, 1 month and 25 days ld at the time of his death. 
Funeral notice will be announced later.
