Wirth, well known resident of Medford where he and family have made their home the greater part of the time for the past 12 years, passed away at the residence, 322 South Newtown, Monday. Mr. Wirth was born in the state of Michigan, Dec. 6, 1878. The family came to Medford from Spokane, Wash. For nearly thirty years he has been in the life insurance business and for the last several years was state manager for the Great Northern Life. Besides his wife, Irma Wirth, he leaves the following children: Mrs. C. E. Striplin and Mrs. Madolyn Dean of Oakland, Calif.; H. D. Wirth, Spokane; W. B. of Fowler, Calif.; Mrs. J. P. Smith, Portland; Mrs. Earl Fitzwalter, Marshfield; Glenda and Norma, Medford. Also three brothers and one sister, Lon Wirth, Baker, [illegible], J. D., Forest Grove; Jess, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Arthur Brown, Oswego, Ore. Mr. Wirth was a long-time member of the Odd Fellows order. Funeral services will be conducted by the Christian Science church at the Conger chapel at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Interment in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
