Leonard were united in marriage last evening at the residence of the officiating pastor, J. Randolph Sasnett. Mrs. S. L. Leonard, mother of the bridegroom, Merle Merriman, Miss Sibyl Furry and Mrs. McCullough were present at the ceremony which was scheduled for Sunday. The wedding had been expected by a large circle of friends for some time and had been announced by the contracting parties for Sunday at the home of the bridegroom. It is supposed that the event was advanced by the young couple in order to give their many friends a surprise. They left immediately after the ceremony for a honeymoon by auto through California.
