SLOAN PIONEER CEMETERY is located on private property with a “trespass access”.
 It is suggested that you go with someone who has been there before.  It is 2.1 
miles north of Hwy 199 on Riverbanks Road, about 4 miles from Grants Pass city 
center.  Turn right on private drive directly across from Marcy Loop, through 
gate, turn right into field, follow road to end.  This is NOT a rain event. 
From the end of the road, you must cross open pasture, which can be very muddy 
and dotted with cow-flops.  The cemetery was active between 1853 and 1948, and
many graves are not marked or have lost their markers.
