H. Swinden passed away this noon at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. N. Adams, 805 M street. No funeral arrangements have yet been made. Mr. Swinden had lived at 811 Josephine street, this city. Swinden at Hall's Funeral Home at 2 o'clock p.m. Burial will be at the Missouri Flat cemetery. Rev. W. Hawkins will officiate. SWINDEN, William Henry, Grant's Pass (Oregon) Daily Courier, Tuesday, 19 July 1927, p. 4 William H. Swinden was born on March 18, 1856, at Gold Hill, Or., and died in Grant's Pass, July 15, 1927, at the age of 71 years, three months and 28 days. He leaves to mourn his loss two brothers, J. E. Swinden and C. L. Swinden, of Grant's Pass, five sisters, Mrs. J. J. Johnson and Mrs. J. N. Adams of Grant's Pass, Mrs. J. R. Stanley of Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. C. W. Stall and Mrs. Robert Graham, of Los Angeles, and also several nieces and nephews. Those who knew him best will remember him as an honest, upright man, with the greatest respect for everything pertaining to his Creator, as a kind neighbor and friend and as always ready to lend a helping hand. He had been a resident of Grant's Pass for about 18 years. Rev. William Hawkins officiated at the funeral services Sunday afternoon while the Baptist church choir furnished the music. Interment was in the Missouri Flat cemetery.
