All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ray Rhoads rhodoray@bellsouth.net November 17, 2007, 12:21 pm Source: Josephine County, Will Book Vol. 3, Page 185 Written: April 8, 1907 Recorded: December 1, 1926 IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I, George Altpeter, of the City of Grants Pass, in the County of Josephine, and stare of Oregon, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare, this to be my last Will and Testament; That is to say, First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, and the residue of my estate, both real and personal sold, and converted into money by my executors of this my last will and testament, I give, bequeath, and dispose of, the remainder that may be left, to be equally divided among my brothers and sisters, or their heirs, that might be living. I do not know that any of my brothers or sisters are alive, but according to my certain knowledge my brother Heinrich Altpeter, died without heirs at Sacrmento, California. The rest of my brothers and sisters, or their heirs can be found at my birth place by writing to Ludwig Altpeter, Offenbach Am Glan, Rhein Preusen, Germany. I was born at Offenbach, on the 4th day of April in the year A.D. 1847. I hereby make, constitute, and appoint, Jacob Wagoner of Wilderville, Oregon, and Fred M. Wichman, of Grants Pass, Oregon, or in the event of their deaths, J. H. Ahlf of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Joseph Fetzner of Grants Pass, Oregon, in the order named to be executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed by name, and affixed my seal, the eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven. George Altpeter Seal The above written instrument was subscribed by the said George Altpeter, in our prsence and acknowledged by him to each of us; and he at the same time published and declared the above instrument, so subscribed to be his last will and testament; and we at the testator’s request, and in his presence, have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written opposite our names our respective places of residence.
