Gorden, a resident of Ft. Klamath, Oregon, for the past 41 years passed away in Chiloquin, Ore., on Monday, September 1, at 8:57 a. m. The deceased was a native of Jackson County, Oregon, and was aged 72 years 5 months and 8 days when called. He is survived by one son, Robert R. of Tillamook, Ore.; three daughters, Faye Johnston of Klamath Falls, Ore., Lucille Jones of Dunsmuir, Calif., Norma Jockisch of Peoria, Ill.; four brothers, Monroe of Beagle, Ore.; Alfred of Medford, Ore., Uriah Jr., of Prospect, Ore.; and Robert E. Of Ft. Klamath, Ore.; three sisters, Jane Vincent of Alturas, Calif., Addie Vincent and Clara Gorden of Prospect, Ore., also two grandchildren. The remains rest in Ward’s Klamath Funeral Home, 925 High street, where friends may call after noon Wednesday, September 3. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday from the Fort Klamath church, with interment at Fort Klamath cemetery. Klamath Falls (Oregon) Herald and News, 3 Sep 1941, p. 4, c. 7: The funeral service for the late Henry J. Gorden, who passed away at Chiloquin, Ore., on Monday, September 1, will take place from the Methodist church at Ft. Klamath, Ore., on Thursday, September 4 at 2 p.m., the Rev. L. W. Mooney officiating. Commitment service and interment will be in the family plot in the Ft. Klamath cemetery. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Ward’s Klamath Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Friday, 5 Sep 1941, p. 15, c. 8 Prospect, Sept. 5. –(Spl.)--Quite a number of people attended the funeral of Henry Gordon, of Chiloquin, at Klamath Falls Thursday afternoon. Mr. Gordon, who was born on the place now owned by Tom Carlton, and lived here until his early manhood, was killed when a passenger train hit his car at the crossing at Chiloquin last Monday morning. His sisters, Miss Clara Gordon and Mrs. Dick Vincent, his brother Uriah Gordon, niece, Mrs. Gus Ditsworth, nephew, Roy Vaughn, and brother-in-law, Jack Vaughn, reside here.
