Box 108, Lowell, Oregon, passed away May 23, 1971, in Eugene. He was born January 2, 1916, in Russell, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Frances; one brother, Roy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters: Stella Bunch, Vancouver, Washington, Grance McAmis, Klickitat, Washington, Nancy Johnston, Harrah, Oklahoma; mother, Jessie Betts, Vancouver, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Hoisting and Portable Engineers Local 701, AFL-CIO. For those who wish contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the chapel. Graveside services will be held at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon, Wednesday, May 26, at 1 p.m. Reverend Ralph Richardson, Trinity Methodist Church, Portland, officiating. Poole-Larsen Chapel in charge of arrangements.
