Eugene,Or.Oct.15-(Special)- Ira L.Campbell, who suffered a stroke of paralysis 
early yesterday morning, died this afternoon without having regianed 
consciousness at any time since the attack.He was for mauy years engaged in 
the newspaper business and was well knonw throughout the state. He was born at 
loong Tom, in this county in 1858, and ha sspent nearly his entire lifetime 
here, being interested in the Eugene Gaurd for 21 years. He left a wife and 
two small children. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon.
