PENCE, Joseph F., Albany (Oregon) Democrat-Herald, Thursday, 12
November 1936, p. 1   Harrisburg, Nov. 12   (Special)   J. P. Pence,
78, many years a farmer of the Harrisburg community, died at his
home northeast of here Wednesday night after a short illness. Mr.
Pence was born at Newcastle, Pa., on June 4, 1858. He married
Nancy Boburn in 1893 in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by the widow and three children, William and Elwin
of Harrisburg and Kenneth of Nebraska. Funeral services will be
held at the Miller chapel in Harrisburg Friday afternoon at 2
o'clock. Interment will be in the Alford cemetery.
