Barnes William Roscoe Barnes, 62, died in an Ontario hospital yesterday morning. He was born March 22, 1907 in Cricket, Ark. He was an Ontario resident for the past 30 years and had worked for the Van Petten Lumber Company for 28 years. Mr. Barnes moved to Ontario from Pheonix, Ariz. 30 years ago. He married Alma Morrow on June 19, 1926 in Harrison, Ark. He was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church in Ontario. He is survived by his widow of Ontario, three sons, Jim Barnes, Creswell, Ore.; Willie Eugene Barnes, Post Falls, Ida.; Kenneth Barnes, Salem, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Irma) Newman, Ontario; Mrs. Elmer (Wilma) Reece, Ontario; Mrs. Mervin (Shirley) Norris, Ontario; Mrs. Sam (Louise) Springfield, Ore.; Arlis Barnes, Sunnyside, Wash.; six sisters, Mrs. Arville Sutton, Harrison, Ark.; Mrs. Alma Leach, Grandview, Wash.; Mrs. Froney, Young, Branson, Mo.; Mrs. Allene Barker, Jefferson City, Mo.; Mrs. Lucille Crow, Ontario, Mrs. Dergie Laine, Harrison, Ark.; 32 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Ontario Chapel of the Roses with the Rev. Jean Lund of the Four Square Gospel Church officiating.
