LOCAL PERSONALS

Richard Brown, familiarly known as Uncle Dick, died at the hospital Saturday 
evening after an illness of several months.  He was born in Tennessee, December 
1833, and came to Oregon a few years ago.  He lived a bachelor all his life.  
He had no relatives in this part of the country except Mrs. B. Reynolds, his 
niece, with whom he had made his home for some time.   Funeral services were 
held at the Baptist church Tuesday, and his remains were laid to rest in the 
Ontario cemetery.
