AGED FARMER DIES AT HOME

Albert Hawkins, 78, of Lincoln Heights, died at his home at 3:00 o’clock 
Saturday morning, May 17.
Mr. Hawkins was born in Ontario, Canada, December 21, 1862, and moved with his 
family to Marysville, Kansas when he was eight years old.  He married there to 
Miss Charlotte Rosella Turner, who with five sons survive him.
He moved to Ontario five years ago, and saying that retirement and ease were 
for old men, he took up and developed a new piece of land near Ontario.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at Petersons chapel, with 
Rev. Alva Gilbert in charge.  Interment was made in the Ontario cemetery.
His surviving sons are, Archie and Merlin of Ontario, Charles Robert of Lodi, 
California, Perry William of Berkley, California and Elmer G. Hawkins of Vale.
