Loren E. Hicks Sr.

ONTARIO-Loren E. Hicks Sr., 68, Ontario, died Jan. 15, 1997.  Services and 
burial are pending at Mt. View Cemetery, Tacoma, Wash.  Arrangements are under 
the direction of Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel, Ontario.  

He was born in Seminole, Okla., to Ray and Jerva Buchanan Hicks Dec. 24, 1928. 
He served in the U. S. Army as an M. P.  He worked as a manager for various 
apartment buildings.  He moved to the Ontario area from Bend in 1986.  He 
enjoyed fishing and camping.  

Survivors include his companion of 11 years, Helen Box of Ontario; two sons, 
Duane Hicks of Washington and Loren Hicks Jr., of Seattle, Wash.; two 
daughters, Pamela Rook of Puyallup, Wash., and Cynthia Dolce of Wharton, N. J.; 
eight grandchildren; one brother, Orville Swim of Tacoma, and a sister, Muriel 
Flores of Christmas Valley, Ore.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, 
Lynette; a sister, Betty; a sister, Lucille and a brother, Asel.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel, 
Ontario.
