Belle S. Mathews

Belle S. Mathews, 93, Ontario died Saturday in the Ontario Hospital. Born Dec. 
19, 1875, in Garland County, Ark., she had been a resident of Ontario for the 
past 20 years, coming here from Lynn County, Texas. She was a member of the 
Church of Christ in Ontario. Her husband, James A. Mathews, preceded her in 
death in 1926. 

She is survived by a son, James Fred Mathews, Ontario; four grandchildren and 
11 great-grandchildren. A son also preceded her in death. Services will be 
conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ontario Chapel of the Roses by John Charles 
Free, minister of the Church of Christ of Caldwell.
