Gertrude Ozella Ward

NYSSA-Gertrude Ozella Ward, 90, Nyssa, died March 30, 1989, in a Nyssa nursing 
home.  Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Nyssa’s Lienkaemper Chapel with the 
Rev. Greg Bullock officiating.  Vault internment will follow at Nyssa Cemetery.
She was born May 18, 1898, in Puryear, Tennessee, a daughter of Mrs. Addie 
Wilson.  She came to Nyssa as a young girl and attended Nyssa high school.  She 
worked for many years for Wilson Brothers Department Store, Nyssa.  She married 
Frank Ward on Jan. 17, 1934, at Twin Falls.  They ranched just south of Nyssa.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family. 
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Nyssa’s Lienkaemper Chapel.
