Permission should be obtained to visit the cemetery. This cemetery was originally enclosed with a rail fence, but this was replaced in 1958 with woven fence and steel posts. It is on the John Leonard Eoff Donation Land Claim. When Jerry Miller read this cemetery in 1958 he found evidence of more graves than there were markers for. Mulkey, at the Lewis Cemetery. However, descendants of this couple say she was not buried at Lewis but in a cemetery, at, or near, Macleay. Oral tradition of how to locate the cemetery where she was buried fits the location of Eoff Cemetery. Reportedly there were 2 women buried in the same lot with her, but their identities are not known. Possibly one of them could be her daughter, Sarah Jane, who died 23 Feb 1878 at age 15, as she is not included of the records of Lewis cemetery, nor does the family known anything about her burial. - end of Eoff Cemetery -
