The board of health, or justice of the peace ex-officio of West Albany 
precinct, will please take notice of the following complaint that comes from 
near Albany. Ah Swill runs a hog ranch, on Oak Creek, two miles from Albany on 
the Tangent Road. Recently about forty of his hogs died of "hog cholera" He 
dumped the whole band of them into the creek, and life is hardly worth living 
for in that vicinty. The water thus seasoned come down the Calapooia into the 
Willamette and that is enough said. Ah Swill runs a very filthy place 
generally. - The Democrat
