Woodburn Independent December 15, 1888
Miss Mamaie Matthieu, of Butteville, is stopping with her sister, Miss Sena 
Matthieu.

Born to the wife of .B.Walker, a daughter. That accounts for the grin that 
Tonimy has been wearing around town lately.

Mr.Geo.Linn of Eagle Creek, was visiting friendsand relatives this place last 
week.

Mr.James Hoax who has been living near needy for the last year, removed to 
California last week. We hope he will find a home and do better than he did 
here.

Wm.Mackrell, of Molalla, has a fine stok of saddls, bridles,whips,spur 
combs,brushes,etc. He also makes all kinds of harness to order. repairing 
promptly attended to. Call and get hia price before purchasing elsewhere.

L.Provost, the hardware man of Woodburn, will soon build a 20X55 dditionto his 
store. The increase of his busness demands it.Dr.Younfg was in Yamhill on 
Tuesday.

Dr.Weaver of Hubard was in town Tuesday.

Geo. Blogham of Salem was in town yesterday.

Miss Matie Layman has been visiting in Salem.

Dr.J.W.McClure of Silverton called Wednesday.

Dp.Sheriff Wrightman was in town last Satrday.

Uncle Ben Hall went to Salem Tuesday on Salem.

J.Wolfard, of Silverton, came up from Portland Thursday.

Mr.T.M.Hicks is going to California to spend the holidays.

ulius Wolf, of Silvertn,ade a pleasant call Wednesday.

P.J.Ridings, the Butte Creek merchant, was in town Thursday.

Mrs.M.Young of this place, is slowing recovering from a severe illness.

Mr.D.Boyer has nearly completed his residence and will move in this week.

Miss Wheeler, of Portland, is visiting with her cousin,prof.Leatherman.

Dr.Hoell, of this place, is preparing to do a finew business.The Dr. is a fine 
workman.
