Morning Oregonian September 24, 1904
Willamette University,Salem,Sept.23-(Special)- President Coleman today 
announced the election of Professor W.H.Mahoffie to the chair of assistant in 
science,Professor Mahoffie is  a graduate of Allegheny College,and had held 
chairs in the University of Arizona,Iowa Wesleyan College and DePau 
University.He arrived in the city today.
