Woodburn Independent December 1, 1888
Mr.D.Boyers is erecting a neat cottage on his place, adjoining Mr.Tooze's.

Mr. Marlow's residence is well under way, and will probably be finished by the 
middle of next month.

J.C.Carter is building a fine house, which will not be completed before spring. 
When completed it will be one of the finest houses in town.

Mr.Dimick has his new dwelling framed and will have it ready for occupancy by 
Christmas.

Mr. Ben Brown has nearly completed a cottage, which he will keep for rent.More 
buildings of this kind are needed. At present there is not a vacant house or 
store in town, and every day some one is inquiring for a house or an office 
that is for rent.

W.L.Toore is building a barn near his property near the southern edge of town.

Maj.Leonard is putting the finishing touches to his new store building. He 
deserves credit for the energy he displays in helping ot build this town.
