The Capital Evening Journal January 2, 1890
G.B.Cornelius, lately appointed farmer at Chemewa, reported for duty today.

Miss Etta Stratton spent the holidays at Albany and returned home this morning.

S.T.Johnson, R.R. agent at Jefferson, came down on the overland train this 
morning.

E.B.Piper, of the Seattle Post Intelligencer, is in the city shaking hands 
with his many friends.

Irwin Putman, who has been very sick for the past month at Turner, came home 
this morning.

Agnes Alkem took the overland this morning, for Mt Angel, aftr a week's visit 
with her parents here.
