B. Albright Rites April 22 (1953) Silverton-Funeral services are being held this Wednesday afternoon from the Ekman Memorial Chapel for Edward Baker Albright, son of the late Daniel Albright and Mary Marquam-Albright. He was one of the four sons. His brothers, all deceased, were Elmer, Wallace, and George. He died Sunday evening, April 19, at the Silverton Hospital following a few months illness. The Rev. Joyce Kendell is officiating. Concluding rites are at Miller cemetery in the family plot. Mr. Albright was born near Marquam, August 18, 1869, on the donation land claim of his great grandparents, Ezekial and Elizabeth Burbage, pioneers of 1845. This acreage was also the lifetime home of his grandparents, Olive Burbage-Marquam and Alfred Marquam, and of his parents, Daniel and Mary Albright. With the Exception of one year when Mr. Albright attended school in southern Oregon, he and his family made their residence on this farm which is one-half mile east of Silverton. (Marquam). He did general farming and also specialized in the raising of hops, fescue seed and wheat. The town of Marquam was named for his ancestors. Mr. Albright's wife was Nettie Pearl Jones, a member of another well-known pioneer family. They were married November 2, 1893. Mrs. Albright passed away two years ago. They are the parents of Attorney Rex Albright of Silverton, George of Grants Pass, Mrs. William Reinhart (Rose) of Arlington, Va., and Myrtle Jane Carson, wife of Attorney John Carson of Salem. Grandchildren are Karen Albright of Grants Pass; Ann Carson, Salem;Jane Carson- Shaw of Medford; and William J. Reinhart, Jr., inhelicopter school in a U.S. service in Texas. Mr. Albright was affiliated with the Methodist church.
