Payton- In Stockton, Cal.,Thursday evening, April 7,1893, Dr.David Payton.
Dr.Payton was an Easten Oregon pioneer, having come to this country when it 
was very thinly settled.He was prominently connected with educational 
interests, being at one time president of Willamette University.He is widely 
knonw and a host of friends will mourn his loss.
