24 August 1939, p. 5   Harold Pence, at a local hospital August 23.
Late resident of Salem. Survived by mother, Mrs. Georgia Pence;
sisters, Mrs. Charles Butts, Miss Cleone Pence of Portland and Miss
Mattie May Pence of Salem; brothers, Robert, Joe and Marvin of
Salem and John Pence of Portland. Services will be held from the
Clough-Barrick chapel Thursday, August 24, at 3 p.m. Interment
City View cemetery, Rev. Klein of Portland officiating.
