Woodburn Independent December 15,1888
Mr.Peter Scharback, Sr., who resided on his farm about two miles east of 
Gervais, died on Saturday last,the 8th. Mr.Scharback was an old resident here 
and was well known throughout French Prairie.He was a native of Wisconsin and 
at the time of his death was 81 years old. Deceased leaves a wife and eight 
children, all grown, besides a host of friends. He was buried on MOnday in the 
Catholic cemetery, near the place.
