Schaefer Rites To Be Said At Stayton
Stayton,Nov.13-Last rites for Edward G.Schaefer,51,former resident of this 
district,who died at Yakima,Wash.,Monday,will be held here friday afternoon at 
1:30 o'clock.
mr.Schaefer was born three miles south of Stayton,the son of pioneer 
parents,and lived in that vicinity to early manhood.Since 1916 he had made his 
home in Washington,living at Yakima the last few years.
He is survived by his widow,Ila;five children.Harry,Lucille,Irene,Roxie and 
Chester,all of Yakima;brothers,B.A. and C.E.Schaefer of Stayton,Will of Salem 
and Al of Portland;and five sisters,Mrs Conn of Salem,Mrs.Bertha Johnston of 
Newberg,Mrs.Emma Fleishman and Mrs.Anna Overholts of Portland,and Rose 
bachman,of an eastern state
