George Lun, a Chinese merchant was the witness for Lee. Hop Lee and Hong Kee were married according to Chinese customs over a year ago, bu tin order to make their marriage a matter of record and ot remove all doubt of its legl sufficiency, they wanted to be married according to law. After they secured the license City Recorder Judah performe the ceremony for them at his office in the City Hall.
