Clarke Publishing Company DR. M. G. DUNLEVY, D. M. D., an oral surgeon and a prominent figure in professional circles of Portland, was born in Victoria, British Columbia, in 1887. His father, Peter C. Dunlevy, a native of Pennsylvania, was a capitalist and a pioneer miner of British Columbia. In 1859 he went to California but later returned to British Columbia and was married in Victoria to Jennie Elizabeth Huston, who passed away in 1923, while his demise occurred in 1903. They are survived by two sons and two daughters. Dr. Dunlevy received his early education in his native province and afterward traveled extensively, selecting Portland as his place of residence in 1910. He was graduated from the North Pacific College of Dentistry in 1918 and for three years was with Dr. T. W. Ross. In 1917, while a dental student, he had enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Camp Lewis, Washington. In December, 1918, he received his honorable discharge and opened an office in Portland soon afterward. Since 1923 he has devoted his time to X- ray work and surgery and is on the staff of St. Vincent's Hospital. He has developed a high degree of skill in the lines in which he specializes and his professional services are in constant demand. In 1919 Dr. Dunlevy married Miss Marie L. Rust, who was born in eastern Oregon and received her education in the St. Paul Academy. They have one child, Mary Lee, about six months old. Dr. Dunlevy is a member of the Xi Psi Phi and Theta Nu Epsilon Greek letter societies, the former a dental fraternity. His talents, natural and acquired, have brought him to the fore in his profession, in which his interest centers. He considers Portland an ideal place in which to live and loyally supports all projects for the city's advancement.
