SUTHERLAND is one of Portland's leading civil engineers, who for twenty years has been successfully engaged in engineering and contracting work, in which he has gained a well merited reputation for ability and trustworthiness. In January, 1908, he opened an office in Portland and has since done a vast amount of engineering work and sub- contracting in this part of the state, being regarded as competent and reliable in everything he undertakes. He has prospered and is one of the owners of the As-You-Like-It Restaurant, of which he is secretary and treasurer and which is one of the high class and popular eating houses of this city.
