Wilson and Charles Meehan were arrested by Detectives Snow and Kerrigan on June 13 for breaking into the saloon of A.Latourelle at Troutdale on the night previous and stealing $75,cogars and two revolvers.The revolvers were found in their room and were identified by Richard Latourette and his brother as their property. The evidence submitted showed only the possession of the stolen goods,but did not prove a case of burglary.The court,on motion of his attorney,who was backed up by numerous decisions,ordered the jury to return a verdict of not guilty. Deputy District Attorney Moser subsequently field an information against Wilson and Meehan charging them with larceny,but in the meantime Wilson had been liberated.
