Morning Oregonian September 20, 1904
Contractors were busy yesterday preparing bidsfor the construction of a rather 
elegant mansion which A.D.Charlton,the well known assistant general passenger 
agent of the Northern Pacific,is about to have built on Portland Heights. As 
the bids are to be submitted today it is not possible to give the cost of the 
structure.
