The Oregonian April 25, 1893
Deputy Sheriff Woods yesterday mornign arrested a young man named E.Cox for 
larceny.The complaint, made ou tin Justice Wood's court, states that while Cox 
was acting as agent for S.Barnett he collected $12.50 from Mrs. Hattie Stewart 
and failed to turn it over to Barnett. Cox waived examination and was bound 
over to the grand jury in the sum of $100.
