The Oregonian April 24, 1893
The bankrupt stock of K.Stephan, of 148 Third street, consisting of $20,000 
worth of silks, velvets, plushes, satins and fine imported dress goods; full 
lines of ladies and misses cloaks, jackets, ulsters and capes, also ready made 
suits, will be closed out by auction for the benefit of the creditors by order 
of the court, commencing Monday, April 24, at 2 P.M. and 8 P.M. and continued 
from day to day at the same hours until all are disposed of. J.Strauss, 
assignee and receiver fro the creditors. The old warhorse, auctioneer.
