Early last evening Moore, in company with E.Felloes, who lives at 227 Stark street; J.S. Girdner and E.E. Roinwater, went to Ross Island to bathe in the river. They entered the stream and enjoyed themselves for almost an hour, and when they went out of the water Moore was missing. It was thought at first that he had swum some distance away, but calls failed to locate him. The men then grew nervous and began to search, which lasted for over an hour. They could find no trace of the missing man, and it is supposed that he got a cramp and sank while the others were not taking notice of him, and without being able to call for help. His clothes were brought to the city by his three companions, who took them to the unfortunate man's place of business. Moore was about 38 years old, and was very popular among his friends.
