Mrs.Mcnamee in her compaint alleges that Mcnamee came to her rooms at 226 1/2 Morrison street on Tuesday in a beastly state of intoxication and struck and beat her upon the face and body and pulled her hair.On Thursday last,because she refused to give him money to continue his spree,he assaulted her and proceeded to smash her furniture,and it became necessary to call the police and have him taken to the City Jail.She avers that for the past three years he has been addicted to the use of intoxicating liqours and has become an habitual drunkard and goes on sprees lasting three or four days and had frequently struck her with his clenched fists and threatened to take her life.It is said that McNamee has spent thousands of dollars for drink. The litigants were married in Ogden,Utah, in 1899.
